I accidentally stood for an extra 20-30 minutes today without realizing it. The timer went off, I dismissed it and thought, “Oh, I can sit down now.” And then I didn’t. 🙂
I did the same as Josh – just noticed it’s been 3 hours. I had a short break where I sat to talk to a coworker, which helped. Feet hurt, but shifting my position and putting a foot up helps a little. I don’t have a fatigue mat (and probably won’t get one – $$). Might try taking my shoes off for a bit to see that feels different.
I’ve found that taking my shoes off actually helps a lot. Even though the floor at work is really hard being barefoot has reduced a lot of my foot pain.
I’ve been going barefoot the whole time, and it has been OK so far. I work from home, so I walk around in socks all day already. 🙂
I MADE IT. I, too, stood longer than the timer (though not much longer). Great challenge!
Congrats Heather!
This one I missed doing the whole time in one shot, as my feet let me know that they’d had enough about 10 minutes before the timer finished. I’ve been doing a bit of research into shoe inserts and have come up with a few that I’m going to order. The gels from Dr. Scholes aren’t quite cutting it, so it’s time to move up into a more specialized group.
I made it! Things are getting easier I think but I do believe that I may start taking off the shoes and see if that helps the foot fatigue!
I had to split this up today, but I ended up doing more total time that way. I am still working to get better footwear and a anti-fatigue mat to help, but I like splitting the time up so I might keep doing it.
