No sweat today, although I’m finding that it’s hard to get a block of totally uninterrupted time. I’ll probably start splitting my time up a bit soon, maybe 50/50 between the early morning and after lunch.
I was going to ask if others were splitting it up as well. Is total time on your feet what matters?
Sitting less and moving around more is what matters. I haven’t seen anything to suggest that there’s any benefit to standing for X hours at a time.
I’m leaning towards splitting it up as well… I try to move a bit in between, but I’m thinking about setting up my permanent (stationary) workspace at a standing desk, but in between spend some time sitting down with my notebook
It’s been a productive few days. My mindset had slowly moved away from “I need to sit down and do this”. If it goes this well next week, I’ll start thinking about a more permanent desk setup!
I, too, have wondered about total vs. blocks of time. My understanding is that the goal of THIS challenge is to get used to standing in larger blocks of time at once. *I* do not count that as standing stock still in place (I may go get some tea, visit a neighboring office, etc. – I just stay standing), but no sitting is how I have chosen to interpret.
Well, I made it through the 168 minute challenge and I am enjoying this chair!
